About ISCA - International Sport and Culture Association
The International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) is a non-governmental and not-for-profit umbrella association open to organisations working within the field of recreational sport and physical activity.
What ISCA - International Sport and Culture Association is doing
In 2015 ISCA took an important step to scale tested solutions from the sport and physical activity sector to the benefit of both refugees and their host communities. With support from the European Union, ISCA united these solutions with many organisations from different countries and developed tools that are now available for free to all who are working in the field of Integration of Refugees Through Sport (IRTS).
ISCA is currently leveraging the IRTS platform to engage the more than 100 IRTS partners in exchanges on what is happening and what more can be done to support Ukrainian refugees through sport (two webinars so far). We have additionally worked with partners to raise funds for the organisations in the neighboring countries, and their important work, and lobbied towards the EU institutions to leverage more support to these urgent needs.
