WHAT IS SPORT FOR UKRAINE?

Sport for Ukraine is a web platform to help use sport and play to support refugees from Ukraine. It showcases organisations that are engaged, resources such as toolkits and methodologies, and specific initiatives engaging Ukrainian refugees in sport and play. Use the platform to learn, find partners, and get inspiration for your own initiatives!

About SPORT FOR UKRAINE

We want to ensure that the power of sport, play and physical activity for psycho-social support, stress relief, education, health and inclusion is fully utilised to serve Ukrainian refugees, especially children.

Objectives and activities:

  • Provide a space for resource sharing, capacity building and dissemination of lessons learned when working with refugees from Ukraine through sport in Europe
  • Facilitate networking, partner matching and partnership development for organisations using sport and play based methodologies in response to the Ukraine situation
  • Highlight some of the activities, the role and the value of sport, play and physical activity as a tool for refugee inclusion and wellbeing among stakeholders outside the sport sector, including humanitarian organisations, policy makers, and donors
